# I need help with my EBT card or PIN

##### Need to reset your PIN, activate your card, or fix a card issue?

## Common EBT card and PIN issues

### You need to reset or change your PIN

Forage can’t change your PIN. This is handled by your state to keep your benefits secure.

**What to do:**

Use your state’s official EBT phone line, website, or app to reset your PIN. You can [find a list of those resources here](/content/app/support/ebt-resources/index.html). You’ll usually need your EBT card number and some personal information to verify your identity.

### Your EBT card isn’t activated yet

If your card is new or was recently replaced, it may need to be activated before it works.

**What to do:**

Call the [customer service number](/content/app/support/ebt-resources/index.html) on the back of your EBT card and follow the prompts to activate it and set your PIN.

### Your card is lost, stolen, or not working

If your card is missing, damaged, or being declined, Forage can’t fix this in the app.

**What to do:**

Contact your [state’s EBT customer service](/content/app/support/ebt-resources/index.html) right away. They can deactivate your old card and send you a replacement.
